Hi all,
I am on F1 and my husband just got his citizenship. I gathered that we need to file
I-130 Petition for alien relative by my husband
I-864 Affidavit of support by my husband
I -485 Application for change of status by me
I-765 Application for EAD by me
checks for the fee

Please let me know if this is right and if there is anything else to be added. Also do I send all of these as package at once?

Thanks much.

And all sorts of supporting evidence with I-130. Don't forget to include your Birth Cert, Marriage Cert and so on.

Not only with I-130, but all forms (birth certificates, photos, G-325A's, marriage license, ...). Check the forms for the exact docs needed. Then organize everything in a big packet, with subdivisions (with paper clips) for each form: I-485, I-765, I-130 and I-131 if you need one AND were not out of status for more than 180 days. If yes do not bother applying for I-131 and DO NOT leave the country.

Thanks much for the info. I read on the instructions on I-485 that the form needs to be mailed to Vermont (we live in VA) but I've heard from people who have filed that they have sent it to Chicago lock box. Could you please clarify? I appreciate your help.

Unfortunately, these forms are ancient... I think they were done when John Pope Paul II first assumed his leadership of the catholic church...:D

You should send them to Chicago... NOT VERMONT, CALIFORNIA, NEBRASKA... or Guantanamo Bay......
