My friend did FP before the scheduled date at Newark.

His fingerprinting date was 10th April and he is booked to go to Florida on vacation on 8th April for 10 days. He went in to this office this Wednesday with all the proofs of his bookings, flight tickets etc to a manager there and to his luck the manager was kind enough to reschedule his FP the same day and got it done well before his actual date.

My FP is on 3/28/01 and I am planning to go as scheduled. In my opinion and if you are lucky enough,
people who miss the FP date and time, may probably try to
go to Newark with all the proof that they have and speak to the Manager and get the FP done instead of
sending the FP notice back to VSc and have them reschedule it.
Does this make sense?

Yes, I was out of country on the scheduled date, and went a week later and showed the proof and got FP done on the same day. The key is proof, otherwise they have turned down many cases who tried to go before the scheduled date...
