My FP experience in Hackensack, NJ

I had a finger print appointment today at 11am at Hackensack, NJ. I got there at 10:50am. Filled out an appointment sheet given by the receptionist. Then waited in line for about 20 minutes. When my turn came, the technician asked if I wanted to change my address. The computer screen was showing my home address, however I have given a PO Box address as mailing address to USCIS when I mailed my application back in August 06. I told him to go ahead and change it to PO Box….I hope I didn’t make a mistake.

Then he started taking the prints. He had to take a couple of prints twice. When he was done taking the prints…he called someone to check it…I guess supervisor. Supervisor checked and approved the prints. He also stamped and signed my fingerprint appointment letter. I was out by 11:30am.

Now just sit and wait for the interview letter. I have been married for 5 years, PR since 2002 and I am applying on the 3 yr rule (I had some long trips outside of USA…thus a late application)…..I am really hoping that the IO wouldn’t give me hard time since my husband is going to school fulltime and I go to school part time and work fulltime. Because of just one income….we do not own any property. All we have is two joint bank accounts, husband is beneficiary on my life insurance, he is dependent on my work insurance, utility bills, apartment lease, and joint tax returns. I sent copies of all that with my application. Now I am just hoping things would move smoothly. :)
