(My I-485 has been filed in VSC though I work in Silicon Valley.)
FP experience was nice and pleasant. I showed up on the date mentioned on the notice and it took my wife and I a total of 25 mins to get it done. San Jose has quite a streamlined process. I suspect that even if you show up before your appointed date they wouldn\'t mind.
One tip: Make sure that the technician types in your information correctly. I kept looking over her shoulder and corrected her once when she type in wrong street name
