My F1 visa is delayed under Special Processing

My F1 visa is delayed under Special Processing! Please advice

I m Afzal Hussain from hyderabad, India. I took my F1 visa interview at delhi embassy on 30 june 2005. At the end of the interview I was told that my application required additional processing and returned my passport with a yellow form. They told me that it will take one month and told me that they will call me once the additional processing over. It is almost a month now and still i havent recieved any email or call from them.

I want to know are there any chances of getting denyed in this situation.

And also i want to know what kind of processing it is.

Also do I need to go to delhi embassy once again or do i have to submit my passport here in hyderabad at TT services.

Please help me in this regard.

Hi

Admin Processing can be done for various reasons like if the course you chose is in the Technology Alert List (known as TAL) then the consulate may need to do some verification before issuing the visa. It even could be because of suspecting fraudulent documentation or what you put down on your DS application forms or if an somebody has filed for an Immigrant petition on your behalf in the US. The reasons can be any thing but the processing takes a minimum of 6 weeks. You may be directed to go to Chennai for further processing. You can call teh Delhi Consulate and try to get an update about your case or send a mailto:NIVND@state.gov
