My experience with AP at LAX

Just returned yesterday via LAX using AP. The first inspector checked the docs and said that something came up and referred me to secondary inspection.

At secondary, there was some confusion with my last visa (H-1) Not sure what that was. The inspector asked about by work history and visa status. I showed him by H-1 original and extension paperwork.

Stamped the AP and the passport . The process took about 45 mins.

The officer was very courteous and professional.

Hi, did you have or show anything else then passport and AP?
Did they return you the AP back? I just planning to use AP also soon but on JFK and I'm a little nervous.
thanks

Showed just Passport and ap. They took one copy of the AP. stamped one, stamped the passport and then returned two copies back to me.

Hi firesan,

did they ask for 485 receipt notice.
i will be travelling via west coast my port of entry might be LAX or SFO. i do not have 485 receipt notice. i might have to take a trip on AP or H1 with out receipt notice. so, just wanted to know that.
thanks,
-Ramesh

I dont have one either, they did not ask for a 485 Reciept. I did however have A #, 485 Recipt number etc. I would recommend carrying these just in case.

No questions about my travel. THere was some confusion about my previous entry. It was thru LAX. I had to show my passport and the stamp from the last time. After that, they stamped my AP.
