I just returned today from my 2 weeks business trip to Japan.I didn't have any problems getting to japan and the japanese immigration officer was so nice ,she didn't ask me a single question. The problem was here in the U.S I was singled out by the first security contact person (an immigrant from India) she put a yellow sign on my boarding pass and I was striped and searched and the amazing thing she just looked at the colour of the document she never opened it.Another stripe search in Tokyo coming back to the U.S the united airlines employee put a red mark on my boarding pass and My bag was searched and I was searched twice. The last hassel was in san francisco ,I went to the U.S/Permanent residents line, the officer checked my document asked some questions and send me to the secondary immigration processing center and i have to wait for 30 min and I got the I-94 with a stamp after he asked me some questions (SS #,the company I work for and my purpose of my trip to japan)
