Hi,
I had been using this thread but never posted lately. Thought I will share my experience with you guys.
Applied (both me and wife) around 20th June and received finger print notice within 7 days along with the receipt notice. The fingerprint was scheduled for July 5th at Naperville ASC. However since we were travelling for 4th of July weekend and would not be in town, we went and visited them to see what can be done.
They decliened to do it earlier but told we can either reschedule or walk in any Wednesday after the original date. Walked in July 12th and done with no problem/no questions asked.
The interview was on Sept 20th for both of us. The interview was simple, however the officer asked me when I was married and if I was carrying my marriage certificate. Which I wasn't so as I was thinking up "Oh $#$#" he said I see you had been here as Permanent Resident for more than 5 years so no big deal. But guys, it is better to carry it. The only thing they actually looked at was Driver's License and Green Card.
My oath was on Oct 10 while my wife's was on Oct 12 at Dearborn road at the court house. All went smoothly.
