I called upon Mike Honda's office in the 15th district of CA for them to check on my 485 delay... well considering that there are folks here who have pending cases from 2001, mine is relatively new.. AUg 2002..

anyway, looks like these guys have a standard proceedure to follow up on BCIS cases... and they ask you to fill out a couple of forms and sign them for you etc etc... I did that and faxed it to them... a few days later I got a call from a lady in their offices saying that she spoke with an officer at BCIS and that they are processing Nov 16 2001 cases so my case is not late.. however the BCIS was a little backlogged but they should get to my case in a few months... how many ever they may be (36?)..

well so much for that... I dont know if it helps talking to a congressman or not... I guess we will find out..

Cheers!

what this shows is that if your ND falls before the cut off date, you should call the cong. man. They might still get you shrinkwrapped answers, but you can quote these answers each time you contact them...

staffer at california senator's office told me that they checked with CSC director's office and were told that my I140 approval date is Feb'03 (after RFE, original approval was Feb '02), and CSC is currently processing 485s with 140 approvals in Jan-Feb '03 timeframe, I should hear soon from CSC.

any truth to this? i didnt think I140 approval dates mattered in the I485 queue at all.

If that is the case then

My case should be approved. B'coz My I-140 was approved on Dec 2002.
And 485 RD is April 2003.
This is just CRAP
