Nothing too fancy. Got PhD in physics in 1996. Work for one of top US universities for the last 5 yeas. About 20 papers (95% first author), about 30 citations, presented at 23 conferences and meetings, refereed for several journals, book and a proposal, had an article about my work in a semi-professional magazine. Initially submitted 11 letters of support from scientists from USA, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden and Korea (to show international acclaim). In the RFE, was asked if any of experts in my field really believe that I belong to the very few percent of scientists at the top of the field. Got 13 new letters saying just that explicitly (6 from previous recommenders and 7 from new ones). Letters are most important in my opinion.
