My dependent H4 visa extension approval still pending over 5.5+ months.

My employer submitted H4 Extension applications along with your H-1B extension, which was filed under premium processing on February 27, 2025. I received approval for the H1B extension within 6 days, but the H4/EAD extension approvals for my son and wife are still pending. Extensions filled with California center which is showing processing time max 5 months and still showing status CASE received. Our online I-94 for myself and my dependents, as well as our US visas, expire on August 21, 2025. I believe I received a new paper I-94 with my H1B extension valid until July 2028, I believe, the I797 approval I94 will remain the governing I94up until you travel internationally. so I don't need to worry. Please correct me if that's not the case?

Question 1: Will my wife and son be considered out of status or VISA overstay while their extension is still being processed? any major impact with this situation ? Also, what happens if their extension gets denied? I hope it's not considered an overstay situation in either circumstances . Please clarify. when should I raise a support ticket with USCIS if approval hasn't come by, for example, September 15?

Question 2: Let me know if there's any action I can take to extend their I-94 period based on my extension approval until their approval is processed. If so, how can I do this, and is it necessary in this case considering we filed the extension six months before our I-94/visa expiration?
