Poll of the War & my Chicago passport stamping experience

Glad to see more approvals are coming after the birth of BCIS and dead of INS.
I love this form very much because people are trying to help each other, not like the govenment is creating hostile and troubles..
Here is my passport stamp experience at Chicago office.

On Mondy March 10,2003 we arrived at Chicago at 10:00AM, one and half hour later than we planned.
Took our friend advice to have our photoes taken at Walgreens, just across the BCIS building.
I highly recomand you to go there because you don't have to worry they reject your photo.
About 10:40 we were on the second floor of BCIS, about 30 people stay in the line before us.
After 30 minutes we got our process queue# 251,252,256. the board showing there were current processing 230. About 1 hour waiting we got our turn. We turned in passport, all I94, current EAD,coutesy copy of approval notice. After verify the address, having one finger printed, the officer stamped our passports and told us would take half to 1 year to get the card and the stamp are good for work and travel for 1 year. The process took about 5 minutes a person. The officers were very kind.
The entire time including photo-taking was less than 2 hours becasue we paid the parking fee 14$ for 2 hours.

My observation: the earlier you come, the longer you will have to wait. When we left about 12, there are few in the line. They close at 2:00pm
