My case with TSC

Hi, my friends, I have been staying in this forum for a longtime and lost my password for my last ID.

I have one question about my case. I filed my I-485 case in January 2005. The on-line status did not change until January 17, 2006 when my case was transferred to TSC. I received the RFI(medical exam only) and sent it back to TSC on Feb. 12, 2006.Since then I received nothing from them.

I strongly feel that it is so strange that some of I-485 cases filed in NOV. DEC. 2005 who alread received their Medical, Bio. but I received only a medical even I filed almost one year earlier than those cases. As far as I know,the on-line status changes when they send out/receive RFI, RFE, etc. but never changes whenever they send out/receive Bio. That is to say, from no way I could know if they already have sent me the Bio. request or not.

I ever called the 1-800-375-5283. the answer machine just simply repeats the online status

Current Status:

On February 14, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 850 and 900 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.



and tells me in the end that they know nothing more than that.

Can I contact the representative in TSC? Do they have such a customer number?

I understand your status did not change, but have you had any LUD changes since you sent your RFI?

Clotty, thank you for your kind reply, I openned an account within INS on March 25, say, last month, there have been "lud" on March 31, April 1, and April 24, so far. But there is nothing changed on the on-line status. in addition, when I logged into my account there is a paragraph saying:

* Note on "Last Updated" date:
Your case may have a new "Last Updated" date and you may receive an Email Notification of your case being updated, without the status of the case changing. This is due to internal USCIS processing being performed on your Case. This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message.

what does this really mean? Do they sometimes open and close my file for fun only?
 
It means an LUD indicates someone working on your file but it does not guarantee a status change. Your LUD changes seem consistent with other applicants from TSC. Have you checked the "TSC club" thread (it has many pages and the most views). There you can find many people in your shoes, waiting in hope that an approval will come soon. And don't worry, sometimes an approval comes first and then they ask you to get your BIO done before they produce the green card. So your case seems to me that it is OK right now; nothing that is weird or unusual. Just keep on waiting. One question though: had you already sent your G-325A with your application? because you said "they asked only medical" but they usually also ask for G-325A(Biography Info).

Yes, I forgot to mention about that the RFE includes medical+G325A, but no fingerprint letter so far. I hope everything goes smoothly as you say.
