Hello everyone,
My case is EB1 from Pennsylvania. RD=10/19/02. My case has been transfered to local office in Philadelphia, TD=11/13/02. Needless to say I am pretty deppressed right now, due to another layer of uncertainity, while expecting an easy approval. Oh well,... Such is Life...

My first question is who else is out there whose case has been transferred to Phila office? If you reply to this posting than I can keep making searches on these people to follow up thier story, as they can do the same with me? Like a support group, like it really is!

Secondly is there anyone who "recently" had his case transferred? Can you share your case with the rest of us so that we can have an idea of the time betweeen TD and the appointment letter and the time between the appointment letter and the appointment date. I know it is a distribution, but at least we can all have an idea of this distribution.

Peace!

Sorry to hear your case has been transferred. Good thing is your case has been processed.

Are you a EB1 (a), (b) or (c)?

Have a nice weekend !

My new informative signature file.

Here is some more info on my case in my newly created signature file. That way we won't have to repeat (sometimes omit) any significant info. My EB1 category was outstanding researcher. I am not sure a or b or c.

Here are some Phila Interview Statistics for the last year.

See the attached excel worksheet. If you want to add another data point please reply to this posting with the info. Peace!

A small observation.

If you sort the cases according to Approval Dates (AD), one can see that there are two distinct batches. The interviews are generally held, around March(3rd month of the year) and the September (9th month of the year). Six months in between the batches. If the unlucky person is very close to these two months he/she may miss the Around March/September Interview. Otherwise mostly interviews are held within four months.

Just a humble theory on how the innerworkings of Philadelphia Interview Office might have been working so far.

Maybe your theory

holds good for all local INS centers. I noticed that there were a lot of interview schedules in Baltimore during September and then a lull after that. Maybe VSC will start transferring the cases to local centers close to Feb so that interviews are scheduled in March.
Good observation researcher !!:)

Local Philadelphia Office Newsletter

There is some relevant information for those of us who are wondering about their pending transferred cases:

http://www.ins.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/philadelphia/UpWin2002.pdf

Especially the news about the new Consolidated Adjustment Pre-Interview Process (CAPP). I am not quite sure what it is, but it sounded like they are trying to expidiate the pending cases. Let us keep our fingers crossed.

Peace!
