Just want to share my info. Hope it is
helpful to some people.
Forget user name and pwd for this forum, tried many times in several days,
finally found that in my garbage email folders.
My case:
EB3
140/485 submitted 12/2004, priority 11/2001
140 approved 5/2005
485 got approved 12/6/2006
got card 12/13/2006
Update this year: 8/31/2006 10/31/2006
Last year also some update that I can't rember
fingerprint 9/29/2006
I guess that name check was cleared Aug or sept this year.
I will not come to this forum very often from now.
I wish everyone good luck.

My case timeline is also very similar to yours...I-485 filed Dec 2004 but still waiting because of name check.

Did you do anything for your name check to get cleared like contacting senator, congressman or FBI directly.

My lawyer contacted with USCIS after my date is current on Sept.
Then I get a finger print notice.

Last year my lawyer contacted USCIS one time, response "name check pending."

I didn't contact with senator, congressman or FBI directly.
