… but it has not been updated in the online tracking system, I received official letter from INS. Finally my “messy” journey with I-485 approval came to the end. Letter stand that case approved on 05/26 , then this date is crossed out and a new date is Sep23. I had an interview on 07/07 …mess. Anyway, I think I am happy, but the moment of excitement is lost ( to long...)
I wish you all, who is still here ,the best and thank you all for the help and support in last two years.
Any questions are welcomed,
Irina :)

Congratulations!

YOu really have to make an effort to move on - we are all bitter, but think about it -you could have been denied in the first place and been illegal all these years.

And yes, please post your dates. Many thanks and good luck!

can you post ur history and why you had to interview?
This history is very long . I applied for asylum in 1992 and was denied by immigration officer first and then by immigration judge . In 1997 finally I was granted asylum by BIA . Applied for adjustment in 1998, RD sept 1998, first time FP in March 2000. after my case was send to Vermont from Nebraska, I made four enquires on my case through national customer service, then gave up and hired a lawyer. Case was found in Vermont , transferred to the local office ( I live in Bay area, San Francisco)and my husband was interview in Sep 2003 , at the time of interview immigration officer discovered that my husband is derivative asylum , he put his decision on hold , until my case will be approved . I was PF second time in Sep 2003 and had interview 07/07 this year. This is the story .
I will not be surprised if it will take 2 years for me plastic card. By the way, I received approval letter for my self and my daughter, the rest of the family still waiting…

Thank you,
You are right. I could be in this situation, in a meter of fact , one of my friend was denied at her interview . She spent 13 years her, works as a RN . Finally she was granted asylum this year at the immigration court. She still has a long way to get her GC …
I don’t complain, but it was such a long way. My sister already US citizens since 2000.
