How many of you responded to the RFE and waited many months before getting approved? Or are still waiting?
My RD is June 2002 .... RFE was sent on 12/16/2003. BCIS received the response on 01/12/2004. No 2nd FP or anything else so far. Applied AP renewal in mid March 2004 thinking that it might somehow trigger some action on my file. Nothing happened.
I called the customer service and they were of no help. So I called my attorney, he said he’d call BCIS and let me know.
He called back today and said that he spoke to them and that they have all the documents they need. So my attorney thinks since we have not heard back from them, they might transfer the case to local office. He said they are transferring many cases these days.
How many of you (or if you know of anyone) got approved or got 2nd FP many months after responding to the RFE, without getting transferred to the local BCIS office? Normally I’ve seen (on this forum) that people get approved within 1 or 2 months of responding to the RFE. I am just trying to figure out whether my attorney took a wild guess or is there any basis for it. Obviously, I am concerned by what he said because nobody wants his or her case to be transferred to the local office.
