Me (primary applicant) and my spouse applied for I-485, EAD and AP together. My AP just got approved today (after 3 LUDs). My spouse's case doesn't have any LUDs and has not been approved as yet. For those of you who have applied for yourself and your spouse do the applications get approved simultaneously or is it normal for the spouse's application to be approved after a while? If so, how long does it take after the primary applicant's case is approved?

Thanks!

Hi Chatterjee,

My lawyer got the approval notice for my AP about 5-7 days after the online approval.

It's been about 10 days since my AP got approved but my spouse's AP still hasn't been approved. Is this normal or should I call TSC and check?

Hi Deena
Thanks for the info. Did you ask for the documents to be mailed to the lawyers's office or it just went there? Most people say that they get the AP and EAD mailed directly to them rather than to the lawyer's office. Regarding your spouse's AP, I have read in the 485 forum about primary and derivative cases getting approved on different dates, even months apart. Have you seen any LUD's on your spouse's case? GIve it a few more days and then call to find out what is happening there. Good Luck.
