Mutiple TN

Looking for some help to understand how multiple TNs work
  • Can you have multiple TNs at the same time for different employers?
  • If one employer chooses to provide the letter while the other goes for premium processing, should you wait for the premium processing to get approved before applying for another TN at the border with the letter or vice versa? Does it matter?
  • What complications, if any, can occur in such a scenario?
  • What are some of the things that one needs to be aware of?
@nelsona - what is your take on this?

- Yes you can have multiple TNs
- "should you wait for the premium processing to get approved before applying for another TN at the border". I don't believe it matters but each TN requires its own support letter.
- Each TN application will be judged on it's own merits, I'm not certain what complications can occur but ensure you have all the required documentation for each TN application.
- If an employer is submitting an I-129 for TN, the box for concurrent employment must be selected. If you go to the border, you will need to tell the officer specifically to not cancel or modify your existing I-94, and get a another one.

Can I mail in the application instead since there is still Covid restriction? How does it work?

If anyone apply for multilple TN, could you please share what should be prepared?? Thanks a bunch...
At the border you need to bring the same support documentation for every new TN application. It doesn't change even if you have a current TN with another employer.

When you apply for your 2nd TN, at the start of the interaction, tell the officer doing the processing that you want them to keep the old TN status active, because it is your intention to work concurrently for both employers.

Hi Grant, Thanks for your kindly reply. As for the existing TN, I only need to present an employment letter, right? Should HR mention "F/T" or "P/T" in the employment letter? Greatly appreciated for your further explaination.
