I took Infopass appointment for today(june 1st),and went to Louisville USCIS field office.I went at 2.00pm,my appointment was the last appointment for the dat at 2.10 pm.
The officer at the window,called me and he asked me for my infopass apt. letter.
This officer looked really out of place,and he apologized upfront,telling me that"the lady is sick,so he's just covering for her,and his usual work is as adjudicator of I-485's".
Then he looked at my I-485 copy and my EAD copy and it took him 5 minutes to login into that work station.He had to call somebody from inside.In the meantime,he got April Visa bulletin.I told him that State department had release latest Visa bulletin for june.Then that other lady who was assisting him to login,went and got the new bulletin.By then I was kicking myself to even take this appointment....
ANyways,finally he pulled out my case,and he Apologized again,saying "that my case took too long,and he was sorry on behalf of USCIS".I WAS STUNNED TO LISTEN THOSE WORDS.Please look at my case details near my signature.
Then one more officer cameby and both discussed my case,and I was pleading with them to issue me my 3rd FP,since my last FP was done 2 yrs back(may'2005).That 2nd officer told that they cannot issue me FP in local field office,since my case is still pending at NSC and NOT TRANSFERRED TO THIS OFFICE.bUT i KEP ON PLEADING AND TOLD THEM THAT I ALREADY CALLED national cutomer service and have a service inquiry pending(i did this may'31st).Then the 2nd officer asked me if I have local driver's license.
I showed him,and then they decided to issue me my Bio code 3 FP.
The first officer again looked at my case on the system and said that my case had been "preadjudicated" and is in queue waiting for visa numbers from my last RFE reply(aug'2006).Then he filled out the FP notice form and gave it to me and aksed me to go to the basement(where the FP office is and tell them,if they do not take walk-ins,his name,since he knows those people...I guess as a personal favor to me).
I was in a trans,I thanked him profusely,and went down to ASC(fp office),they were kinda waiting for me.nobody was there.I filled out the form,and in 5 minutes,completed my 3rd FP with code(had been waiting for last 7 months for this).
I had already contacted my senator's office and they are also in the process of inquirying my case and offcourse yesterday I initiated service inquiry also.
So hoping my long journey will come to an end ASAP BEFORE THE VISA DATES GO BACK TO RETRO AGAIN.
