MUMBAI VISA appointment form urgent

Hello All,

I got my h-1 in usa and would be going back to india for the first time. I do need to get my h-1 stamped .

1) While filling out the form I noticed the purpose of travel drop down.

In that should I select " Family visit/all other purpose" OR " workign in the usa"

In the address field it says LOCAL address where you have lived for last six months in India?

That would be teh address where i will be staying once I go back ??

Mumbai Visa appointment

I think the VFS application on the web is created for residents of India who wants to come to US. Not only the address, but if you see certain desclaimers for emergency appointments, it says

" Travel for the purpose of attending weddings, assisting pregnant daughters, or attending graduation ceremonies do not qualify for emergency appointments".

I don't think many go from US to India for assiting pregnant daughters or attending graduation ceremonies. So most likely you shouldn't worry about such questions.

BTW, I am also applying for the appointment in January. With the rules in place now, hoping to get in one in January. (still awaiting the receipt number and then wait for 2 days to book an appointment !! ridiculous !)
