Mumbai experiances ? for H1 visa to H1 visa and H4 -H1 stamping.

Hi All,

ANyone with experinaces on how the drop box and interview schedule works ?
what docs to take ?
does it matter if the current H1 and H4 visas are expired since a month ago ?
 
Did you apply for H1 and H4 extension?

Assuming that you have run out of first 3 years of H1 and H4 did you apply for H1 & H4 extension? From your query it appears as if the visa stamps in passports have expired and you are not out of H1 & H4 status. But for restamping you dont have to go out of US, it can be done here itself.
 
you are right, my wife and I have both valid H1 status...

but my H1 stamp from prev company and her H4 stamp expired on 4/1.
I am going to India in 6 weeks and with all that anthrax scare going on I did not want to get my passport stuck at revalidation, anyhow my wife will need a new H1 stamp any way..so...
 
Anthrax scare?

In case sending by post, send it through Overnight express insured mail, along with a prepaid mail envelop, to receive back your passport.
