* when was your application entered in the consulate.

* when was your review done

* when did NVC receive your application

Other folks:
Can all OCT CP candidates for Mumbai post this information.
It will really help other people who are tentatively waiting for their visa interviews. CP tracker has very Mumbai people for OCT interviews and very less detail. Please Post.

Please dont just use the information, but do contribute also. This is how we can help each other. This is a special request to all the Mumbai CP interview candidates.

I have posted all my dates on this forum

I am not very sure of the dates now but these will give you an idea of the timeline.
P3 sent July 22,NVC received Aug 16,Review completed Aug 22,NVC sent Aug 28,Consulate entered Sept 9 Interview date Oct30.
 
AC140 case. Consulate received papers Sept 3. Got confirmation that case was entered Sept 6. Got interview date Sept 16. Interview date Oct 28

I'm just a starter and I'm gonna be doing CP. I have a very basic Q. Once my lawyer sent out the confirmation abt my CP to NVC. How many days does NVC takes to generate P3 and send it to me/lawyer.

Re: AC-140.

By filing I-824 can I convert my regular CP case to AC-140 case.

You can probably send the packet 3 generated by NVC to the consulate. But it is risky since the consulate normally expects it to come from the NVC after the review of the forms by NVC.
So don't complicate ur case.

You cannot file for a 824 technically since ur are already a CP case. 824 is normally filed to convert from AOS to CP(action on an already approved petition). Although I have heard of people filing 824 for change of consulate and it seems to work !!!

So relax and wait for the P3 to be generated by NVC.Fill the forms DS230 part 1 and draft of 335 dollars. Send it to st Louis/NVC.
NVC reveiws it. Sends to the consulate. Consulate will give you an interview date and you will be done in about three months.

This would be the same time line as an AC140 case!!!!
