Our IV interview is scheduled for December 27, 2001.

For the application and issuance fees, I have taken 2 demand drafts from ICICI Bank, Aundh branch, Pune. The demand drafts are payable at Mumbai to "American Consulate General Mumbai". ICICI Bank is a Private Sector Bank.

Could anyone confirm whether the Mumbai consulate would accept these demand drafts. Or do I need to take out new DDs from a nationalized bank or foreign bank...

Thanks in advance...

I am not sure if any bank will work.

For example, I am told that drafts from co-op bank are a no-no.
Good luck.
Also carry some cash in US dollars if possible, just in case.

ICICI should work. They state that Drafts from Nationalized, Foreign

OR any reputed banks will work. And co-op. banks are not acceptable.
As ICICI bank is reputed it should work.
However for safety take some USD so that u can go to nearby bank
and obtain it in case they refuse it.
But if u have time, it is better to encash that draft and make new draft fm nationalised bank as loosing just few hundred ruppes and 2-3 hrs. time is worth than taking tension till end moment.

Medical test schedule (Mumbai)

Hello

generally speaking, when should the medical tests be scheduled ?
I mean, how many days gap should be kept between the Medical tests and the interview ?

I believe Leelavati, Hinduja give the results on the same day while Breach Candy gives it on the 2nd day.

The reason for asking is: one of my friend\'s wife had some throat issue, the doctors recommended further tests that took a week !!
It turned OK, and she did get the GC, luckily, her interview was a fortnight later....

Thanks
