Multiple GC filings

I am working with a company that is about to file for my GC in December 2005 under EB2. Another company has made a good offer and ready to file for my GC in Feb-March 2005, but in EB3. I have talked to the HR and they are adamant in filing the case under EB3 only!! As always life doesn't come with obvious choices, hence I am here for some knowledgeable comments on my case!

My specific questions are

1. I have an option to continue my GC with my current company EVEN IF I QUIT WORKING WITH THEM, but my future company insists that there shouldn't be multiple filings for GC. Is this true?

2. If multiple filings are possible, then is there any way that my future company can find out that I have another GC filed?

My general questions are

1. I read that there are 140,000 GC cases that can be approved per year of which not more than 7% can be obtained by people from the same country. Is this true?

2. If the above is true, of the 9800 cases (7% of 140000) for India what is the split up for each of the three EB categories?

3. Any intelligent estimation of the ratio between EB2 vs EB3 cases from India? What is an approx ratio of EB2 vs EB3 filed every year?

4. As of today, there is a difference of 22 months in the priority dates between EB2 and EB3 categories. Is there any possibility that this gap would decrease in future?

From the immigration perspective, my EB2 filing is much superior [it's being filed earlier and EB2 is super-fast as apposed to EB3], but my EB3 job is more appealing and hence the dilemma! If anyone could share their thoughts on this situation that would be great! Thanks a ton in advance.

May not be an option, since the company has to prove that you are on payroll. If RFE comes comp has to prove in 140 stage or within PERM itself.

2. If multiple filings are possible, then is there any way that my future company can find out that I have another GC filed?

Multiple filings...nobody knows how PERM software is built. I am not sure if it does search by name and company...maybe it does and rejects one of them. Even then you are stuck with the problem above. See till now nobody has been able to overcome this situation. If they do we will find out. Maybe you will be the first one to try.

yes

equal split

EB3 is infinity and EB2 is limited. That is all I know.

Time will tell.

If you want GC fast. EB2 is the best.

There are two proposal bills in senate and both of them increase the numbers for EB3 and reduce it for EB2 and EB1. But still EB2 may be faster because there will be more EB3 cases than EB2. Only time will tell us which is better option. But common sense tells me the Eb2 is always better as advanced degree holders will be given preference over normal degree holders. But at this stage it is hard to comment. Probably we should wait for the bills to be approved and materialized into rule making.

Thanks for your inputs guys. I really appreciate that. Even I think that EB2 is better, but the new offer is very good except on the immigration front.
