Came back from vacation (out of country) on my GC stamp without any problem (No questions asked by INS officer). Wife was out of country when both our cases were aproved on April 25, 2001. Wife came back on AP, again No questions were asked. GC line for customs was a lot faster.

Checked CSC AVM last weekend. Message changed to Processing complete....blah blah..... How long to get actual card ?

Wifes passport stamped at SJC INS, yesterday 07/11/2001, no questions asked by the INS officer. Was there in line at about 4:15 AM, got token # 132, out around 2 PM. Actual process took about 2 minutes. SJC INS was extremely slow between 11:30am and 2pm. Most of the time only 1 window was operating.

Ciba feel free to add any of the above details to your list. Thanks for the wonderful work.

Thanks for sharing your information!

I have an RFE for I-140 too. 485 AVM updated on June 20th (it now says INS has received my reply to RFE) but no approval yet.

Weird thing is I didn\'t get an I-140 receipt notice for the amended I-140...

Your attorney should get the receipt # for the amended I-140 (Unless you filed it yourself).

Hi bacard,

Thanks a lot for this nice post containing useful info. Which
port of entry did you enter from your last trip? Is GC custom
line separate from other non-immigrant line?

Some folks have asked what happens if case is approved when
applicant is out of the country. Your message assures us
that using AP is fine in this situation.

Ciba:
Port of entry: Sanfrancisco (SFO)
There are two separate lines for immigration at the post of entry @ SFO.
1 For Citizens and Permanent Residents
2 For Non Immigrant type Visas (H1,H4,B1,B2..etc)
Obviously fewever ppl using line 1 so was less crowded and faster.
