Mr or Dr.

I am a doctoral student and in the process of getting letters for NIW. What do I call myself in letters: Dr XX or Mr XX. Is there a less chance of getting an approval with Mr. than Dr.

Obviously, you're a Mr! Why risk yourself with a trivial stuff and invite backfire? What matters is what's inside of you, not your title...

If u r in bombay and claim urself to be a doc. , only the traffic police guy will let you go free that too with a valid id card. So u r a Mr.

You ain't no Dr. 'til you move the tassel from right to left (or is it the other way around?) Seriously, (i) you have no control over what people write in their letters - if they choose to call you Dr., that's their problem, but, (ii) I concur with jollyfella - why ask for trouble?
