My wife\'s case has been pending for over 560 days at NSC. We tried all kinds of things. Contacted senator, congressmen and spoke with IIOs 3 times, and yet we have seen no movement in the case as it is still not assigned to any officer since last 6 months or so. The congressmen\'s office last month told us that NSC is processing June 2000 cases. I just can\'t believe that INS says something like that and their unofficial processing time says that they are processing May. 2001 cases as of 02/28/2002 and the average processing time is 300-330 days.

We mailed a letter to the other senator yesterday hoping that it might help the case.

I was wondering if we can file a complaint against INS in court based on these facts? If you think it is worth a shot, do you know any attorney who is interested? We are serious about it. The kind of stress, frustration we face is too much. I want them to pay for it.

Thanks a lot

You could file an action in federal court

But it wouldn\'t be cheap. You\'d probably incur more than 10K in attorney fees getting there. I\'m sure there are plenty of attorneys who would do it if you were willing to fund the litigation.
