Moving to different state (and SC) after filing N-400

I am aware of the general recommendation to stay put after filing one's N-400 all the way through the Oath ceremony. I understand that moving to a different state will almost certainly cause a delay. I also know the 90 day residence requirement in the new DO jurisdiction area.

Still, I am curious to hear from people who moved between states after filing their N-400 and completed their citizenship process. How was the overall process impacted? Did your new state of residence fall under a different Service Center?

Reason: I am contemplating such a move.

Any experiences shared -whether first hand or anecdotal - will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I am in the midst of it

I filed N400 back in early July 07 while I was in Louisiana, while all of my USCIS correspondence came smoothly up til October 07 up to finger printing. In November 07 I relocated to Pennsylvania and I filed change of address with the USCIS.

I recieved an change of address confirmation notice from the USCIS in December 07 (see my timeline in my signature). Now, I'm still waiting for my interview invitation. Waiting is the game and patience has to be your name.

Go ahead and move and file an change of address form online. Let the waiting game continue. Good luck.

I filed my N-400 at the Santa Ana DO & then moved to the Seattle DO after my prints were done. I don't think my case was delayed because of the change in DO. It was delayed because of the stupid name check process :(

Thanks, shie0023 and VivaLasVegas.

VivaLasVegas: Can you please let me know your overall timeline?
I looked at your old posts, but your sig has changed, so I cannot see the original N-400 timeline.

Thanks.
