Moving to a new State

I'd appreciate if someone could answer these questions that I have:

I'm planning to move from atlanta, GA to Louisiana. I'm on I 485 state.
1. Is it ok for me to change the address?
2. I need to inform INS with AR 11 right?
3. In case my I485 gets approved, will it come to me or my lawyer?
4. If I get an RFE or an interview call, where would they ask me to appear?
5. At what stage is your case transferred to local INS?
6. Or is it wise for me not to change any addres sor move till I get my I 485 approved?

7. One mroe thing, is it ok for me to change my tag title , drivers licence to Louisiana and NOT inform INS atall about moving and have the letters come to my Atlanta home address?

Please advise.
Thanks.

my experience

I can share my experience.
I have moved from Arkansas (TSC) to Indiana. I am still with the same company and on a similar job.
I had to file AR 11 with in 10 days. Also informed 800 number by phone, My lawyer also did same thing. He also informed by mail to them.
With in two weeks, these people (TSC) informed / confirmed me about their receipt of address change receipt.

Based on address change request, they have sent an FP (although not required, as already done) request for my son. This is on anew address and want us to go to Indianapolis. I have certainly, changed my driving licence to Indianapolis.

Hope this helps.

It is ok to move. But you do need to file AR11 and call NCSC to change your address. It is also safer if possible to keep contacts with the new residents in your previsous address just in case.

2. I need to inform INS with AR 11 right?

Yes.

3. In case my I485 gets approved, will it come to me or my lawyer?

You should get the approval and your lawyer gets a courtesy copy.

4. If I get an RFE or an interview call, where would they ask me to appear?

If your address was changed cleanly, it should be the BCIS address near your new home. In theory. Practically we did see some cases that the address stuff was messed up.

5. At what stage is your case transferred to local INS?

Not sure about this.

6. Or is it wise for me not to change any addres sor move till I get my I 485 approved?

It is absolutely safe. But sometimes changing address might trigger your case to move forward which is one of the theories we developed on this forum.

7. One mroe thing, is it ok for me to change my tag title , drivers licence to Louisiana and NOT inform INS atall about moving and have the letters come to my Atlanta home address?

I guess if you keep the old address valid, which means INS can always find you through your old address, it should be ok.

BUT I AM NOT A LAWYER. PLEASE LISTEN TO PROFESSIAONAL'S OPINIONS.

Hope this helps. --

If you are moving you need to send in AR 11

It's the law. But USIS rarely processes it, so sending it should be safe.

Hmcis,
Greenpencil has answered it well.

As per your Question No.7, I would suggest don't do that.
Either 1> Maintain your residency from GA ( i.e. keep your driving records in GA) & not file for AR11 or
2> Move all your records to LA and file for AR11.

The problem with option 1> is then if you get a FP or interview, you will have to come back to GA.

I recently moved from TX to VA but I still own a house in TX.
I was considering option 1> since I have also moved to VSC area but My lawyer Strongly adviced me to go with Option 2>.

Within 10 days of filling for AR-11 & calling the 800 , I got their confirmation letter and FP notices for both me & my wife.
