moving while I-485/EAD/AP ext. pending..please advice

My I-485 application ND is 10/04/02 and I have recently filed (May 10) for my 2nd extension for EAD and AP doc.'s. Also I have received my 2nd finger print notice for July 27th.

My question is that I am planning to move residence in the middle of the month and I was wanting some help/advice from members on what steps to take so that BCIS updates my address. I know an easy solution will be not to move !! but it seems that everything has been on hold ever since we applied for our 485 and we has been waiting ever since to get the I-485 approval to change our address, now with our last chance to lock in a low interest rate we have finally decided to move.

I do plan on sending in the AR-11 doc. However I've heard accounts that in many cases the doc's are still mailed to the prior address and since BCIS has strict rules on not forwarding they are returned undelivered.

Currently it seems that the EAD approval is taking 3 months and AP upto a 6 ?? Is that correct?

I would appreciate if members who have sent in a change of address or have any info on a "fail-safe" way to make sure the address is updated please share info on this.

Thanks.

Atart from sending AR-11 (do it by certified mail), call your service center (NSC) and update your address for each application separately. Again call back them few days/week after to confirm they changed the address properly.

current EAD and AP processing times for extensions filed in '04

Thanks you for your reply pralay.

Does any member have an idea what is the current EAD and AP processing times?

From the BCIS online status check it talks of 60-90 days for EAD and around 400-430 days for AP approval...what are the actual dates??

Thanks.
