I am a US citizen and I am sponsoring my parents, who live with me, for their greencard. We applied at the Miami District Office with simultaneous I485/I130 in October 2003. Fingerprints were done, but we are waitng for the interview date. Now my husband is being transfered from Miami to Dallas, Texas and I want to make sure we do the right thing:
Is it correct, that if my parents move with us to Dallas, then their application will be transferred to Texas? Is this advisable (processing times seem much faster at the Dallas District Office) or could this result in a logtime delay by the time the application is transferred?
Would it be ok for my parents to stay in Miami with my in-laws until their interview date (which should be by September)? Is it a problem that the sponsor lives out of state?
I want to do the right thing, but I don't know which one it is. An advanced "Thank you!" to anybody who can help.
