Hi folks,
I have 485 pending in Nabrska with RD Oct 02. As per trend RFes are being issued Aug-oct 02 cases and approvals March-May02 cases. I have a job offer falling in Vermont centerand plan to move in next one or two months. Can anyone sugest best solution that 485 is done without transfer. I feel that if I move to new place Nabraska is going to transfer my case to Vermont and now one knows how long will it take and then in what que will I be? So Should I not join new job?
Any suggestion or experience on the topic will be helpful.

I did exactly the same thing 2 years ago, just after filing my I-485 and received my approval last week. So, you should not worry about making the move

Most probably, ur case will not be transferred to Vermont. The service centers are not "supposed" to transfer 485s to the new center based on ur address/job change. In a few cases, when they are not sure about the new employer u would join using AC-21, they may transfer case to ur local (new address) office. In very few cases do they transfer to the new service center, and I have never heard a good logic behind which cases fall under this category and why - believe it is random.

goodluck!

Transfer to local office will delay the case. Since I have rD of Oct 02, and have recieved second FP notice also. I was wondering appx if delay is to be there how much it may be and anyother RFe which may trigger because of change of job?
Thanks.

Yes.

Can't say - Each local office is different. Some may schedule an interview within 1-2 months, other might take up to a year. Call your potential new address local office and they may be able to give u some guidelines.

goodluck!
