Moving from TSC area to VSC area..PLS HELP!!!1

Our I-485 RD is Jun 01(TSC).Since my husband is a consultant, while filing for 485 we have given one of our family friend\'s address(very near to our place) as our address to avoid various address changes.
  But now we have to move to a place under VSC for our next project.Do we need to file for a change of address?( or can we still continue with the same address if we give this address for our payroll) Will TSC transfer the case to VSC then?? Is this transfer slow down the GC process??

Pls advice soon!!!!
 
I am in the same situation

TSC might ( !!! ) transfer to VSC when your case gets assigned to an officer in TSC. I have already sent transfer requests and talked with IIO\'s in both centers. Basically the case will not be transferred unless it is first assigned to an officer. So you just have to wait...unless ofcourse you are able to convince somebody in TSC to locate your application and send it to VSC ( who are processing 485 very fast - already in Jan 2001 )...
 
Transfer to VSC

I read several posts about transfer. Some were transfered at the time of notice of transfer. Some said it will be transfered until the agent start to process your file. It is very confusing. I think again it is case by case situation. Some were not even transfered and was approved by TSC.

The big question is: where do we file renewal of EAD, etc? During the transfering period (let\'s say 1 month - one yr), do we file EAD with TSC after we moved and the file is still with TSC? Any experiences are appreciated.
 
answers to both of the previous enquiries....

1. My RD is Dec 2000.

2. I applied for my EAD with TSC. But it took for ever to get that, and it was already 180 days since I applied for 485. So I went to Boston INS and told them that I have a pending 485. They issued me a new EAD ( within an hour !!! ). Also, when my EAD expires after an year, I was told to come in to Boston INS and get it renewed.

Thank you so much for your response. Has your file been transfered to VSC yet? Can you tell me how long it takes to transfer?

I am planning to leave TSC soon and this question bothers me very much since I will be on my EAD next year. I just hope every local office is as nice as boston office.
