Moving from L1 to H1

Hi,

I would be moving from my L1 B Visa to the H1 B Visa (waiting for the approval notice). I currently have an SSN #.
What happens to my exisitng SSN# once I get the H1 B Approval & get it stamped on my passport. Does my SSN which was applied on my L1 B Visa go invalid ? What happens to my Driver's License ? Do I have to apply for a new SSN# & hence a new DL ?

My wife has an EAD applied as a dependant on my L1 visa. What will happen to her EAD. Will it remain valid after I move to the H1 visa.
