Moving from immigrant to non-immigrant visa

My permanent residency application is in progress while my wife is working in the US on a E1 visa. I would like to quit my job and go back to school. Is it possible for me to get a non-immigrant visa even though I have shown intent to immigrate because of my green card application? Will it be a problem for me to get a H1 visa when I start working after graduating from school? My wife's employer is ready to sponsor her green card. Can I become a dependant on her green card application at a later date? Any lawyers out there????

Showing (having already showed) an intent to immigrate is suffiicient to deny F1 Visa (or any NIV) ; but for H1 visa it is not a big issue since it is a dual intent VISA.

Choose the options well, becasue once a change of status to F1 is denied one will be out of status and/or will not be allowed to enter the US.
