moving after filing packet 3

Hi CP gurus,

I face a situation where I have to move to a different state after having filed my packet 3 with my current address (also used for permanent address). does any one know of any problems/delays this might cause? I presume I would have to update the NVC with the new address as well as send an email to the Mumbai consulate.

Any input woul dbe greatly appreciated.

Call NVC to inform about change of address, they might request you to fax them the address, and also mail a letter to the consulate if your case has been forwarded to consulate. NVC will let you know if it has been forwarded to Mumbai or not and if it is necessary to inform the consulate also after informing NVC. NVC might be able to update the information before forwarding the case to the consulate.
