My first post in these forums... I am USC, wife is Permanent Resident, 18-yr old unmarried stepdaughter in Russia. While living in Alaska filed I-130 for stepdaughter to immigrate. NSC is 22 months from receipt (9/15/03). We moved to Washington, DC. I am filing address chg with NSC, and want them to transfer case to VSC where processing dates are already in 11/03 timeframe! Is transfer advisable, possible? What's the best way to handle request?
Any experiences with how quickly new service center would process?
Worst-case scenario, is filing a new I-130 with VSC possible?
