Hi fellows, here\'s my situation:
I\'m on H1B, with I-485 pending for less than 180 days, our company was just acquired by another, they\'re gonna file an amended I-140 for me (so far it\'s good), here\'s the catch...they want to put me on my already approved EAD instead of transferring my H1. Is it gonna be good or bad for me? Particularly if they lay me off before the 180 days or INS denies my 485, how soon can I start working for another (or the same) company on my H1? Can I start working immediately (upon INS receiving the new H1 application) like in the case of an H1 transfer?
