move from Dallas to NowYork

My employer is in Chicago. I lived in Dallas. I got I140 approved in NSC and file 485 in TSC in last Nov. I got new offer from New York. I am ready to move to New York. I hear of some rumor that transfer to VSC may cause the GC denied since the I140 is approved by different service center. Is it true?
