Move from academia to industry

Hello all,
My research funding will be run out very soon (August). This is my second petition. The first petition (2001) got rejected because I didnt answer the RFE which I had never received. I started all over again and my I-140 was approved after 22 months without any RFEs. Now, i am in I-485 pending status. I just received an offer from a company. Can I use EAD and move to that company with my current status? Do I need to use AC-21?

If you have a self petition, then by all means use your EAD...AC-21 is irrelevant. If your university sponsored you and your I-485 is pending more than 6 months, then you are probably elegible for AC-21. My understanding is that the AC-21 regulations have never been published even though the legislation for it was passed in Nov, 2000. I would look at the I-485 forums for more insight.
