Move During 485 Wait Period

I am waiting for my 485 to get approved and now ..i am couple of months away from it (RD:- 02/10/02) ..i am expecting it around Feb 03.

Unfortunately I have to Rellocate ...

I will be with same Employer...and same state and same location but only a new mailing address..

My Concerns are :

Is it Safe to do AR -11 (any concerns on this ) ?
or should I do mail forwarding in Post office to new address..?
Does RFE 's come to me & lawyer or lawer only..?.
The Final Approval Petetion does it come to lawyer & myself.
Does those INS mails get Forwarded..to new address..?

Did any one have this problem..?
Any Suggestions are Welcome.....?
 
You have to file AR-11 within 10 days of moving by rule.

RFE's/Approvals would come to lawyer - you would get approval courtesy copy.

INS mails are not supposed to get forwarded - but sometimes they do.

Here is what I would do - file AR-11 and then call the IIO to change the address ( because otherwise the address change may take long time).

You dont have to worry about your case getting thansfereed to another SC as you are with the same employer
 
My lawyer told me that they will not be changing address on telephone, so she posted two copies of AR-11 one to the address on the form, the other to vermont service center

but I am wondering if that will delay my process any furhter in any way..

How long does it usually take for the deprt (which is going to mail my 485 approval notice) to get notified ...

Does any one know how this process works in detail..?

It looks like you had the same problem..
how much time did it take for the mailing deprt to get notified..

and when you mean 2 copies you meant "Copies" I guess ..
since the deprt where we mail the 485 forms is diffrent than the deprt where we sent the AR-11 Forms..

how do they tie up...and does it affect processing on the case...

Did any one encounter any problems for Mail Forwarding..?

If you change your address at IIO ..does it trigger any more queries..?

You have to be really patient - chances are you will get an engaged tone. Keep redialling till you get throgh. Earrly morning may be a good time to call( around 8:30 or so).

IT IS VERY CLEARLY WRITTEN ON INS WEB SITE- what to do incase of address change. Just follow that. I do not know why you guys have so many doubts like to call lawer etc. INS instructions are very clear and does not require lawers interpretation for any person who can read english.

I do not think You read properly for the reason I started the Chain
I know the process fairly well..(I think every one here knows AR-11)

My concern was was it worth changing the address for which could be a very short period ...and take the risk of INS skewing my case entirely...

Only knowing English does not make you smart ...I think you need to understand what some one is asking...before you say something...
