I am in the same boat. I live in VA and I filed my application for citizenship in the first week of Feb and now I have to move to a Newark because of job relocation. I believe Newark is processing Jan07 and Feb 07. If I move now to Newark ,will they transfer my file to Newark , If transferred will they consider my case now according to my Priority date or I will they change my Priority data to a different one? or will they consider my application as a new application. When will they start processing my application, Are they going to wait for another certain amount of time (because of my move)even if my priority is current. All Senior and Gurus Please give some tips, advices and suggestion.

No one can say for 100% certain. I've known few folks who moved and they have gotten delayed, it depends. Best advice is to stay put if u can. But in ur case seems like uve already decided to move, so wish u good luck.

The N400 Explicitly States NOT to move.

Hi!

The application instructions say not to move and that delays may result if you do move. The moment you move it puts you in a different jurisdiction.

Your best bet would be to do an infopass on this and acquire the correct information from and IO near you. You are more likely to get a more definite response and probably a way to solve your potential issues if you are honest with them.

Hope things work out for you!

May the The Force Be With You!

Moving to a different DO means a minimum of 3 months delay (90 day residency requirement), and possibly longer, while USCIS transfers your file and gets your interview scheduled.

That's correct. I can second to that. See my timeline in my signature.
