My son has his 1-485 abandoned because he did't appear at the fingerprints appointment( post office return official papers and we even did't know about it). We send form 1-290 Motion to Reopen in March. We called to USCIS but they told us that the case still has't been opened yet and it would take a year to reopen. Does anybody know how long it will take to reopen case?
Maybe we have some alternative to send 1-485 form again( he was on K-2 visa as a son). Now he is out of status.
One more guestion, at the same time his case number on line says that his case still pending. Is it possible? They at first separeted our cases but now it is said that they at the same office.
