Mother's name incorrect

My sister (who is a US citizen) has petitioned for my parents' green cards. Their cases have been approved. I have a couple of questions:

1)
We have received letters from NVC and a request for 70$ for each. The problem is that for my mother, my father's family name (which is the same as my sister's family name) is used. My mother uses her maiden name. Her passport is under her maiden name and we have used that as her family name in our petitions.

Using email, we asked NVC to correct the name but they thought we want to change the name and asked for a copy of my mother's passport. In reality, we have used the correct name and they have made a mistake in using my father's family name for her. How should we deal with this? Should we write again and try to explain the issue more clearly?

2)
To make things worse, in a form we have received from NVC and we should send them back along the 70$ check they have printed my father's name and NVC ID number instead of my mother's name and NVC ID number. How do we deal with this issue? Please note that my father and my mother each have a different VNC ID (a 13-character ID which starts with "ABD" followed by a 10-digit number). Somehow they seem to have mixed up the forms for my mother and my father.

Many many thanks in advance for your help.
