Mothers citizenship

Hi

My mother got her GC in April 2011. She did leave USA 3 times, one visit where she left USA for 360 days in Feb-2013 to Feb-2014. She didn't have any pre-application done before she left for 360 days. Does this affect her citizenship? What can we do to mitigate, the reason for not returning is due to personal reasons, health and death in immediate family.

If we need to wait how long we need to wait for applying citizenship? Five years from Feb-2014 or 30 months is sufficient?

Since it was an absence of between 6 months and 1 year, it might be possible to overcome the presumption that she interrupted her continuous residence with strong evidence.

Otherwise, I believe she would wait until 4 years + 1 day after she returned from that trip.

The 4 year + 1 day rule does not explicitly apply to absences of less than 1 year, but previous discussion on the forum has concluded that it should.
