Am I approved ? I think so. If so, that has been a long trip. I took a big hit on this, many opportunities missed. Now it is time to move on.

I would like to thank you very much all members of this forum. Sometimes I also posted things that may have offended you and I would like to apologize if that was the case. It was not my intention though.

I checked my online case status and I see the following:

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On November 9, 2006, a welcome notice was mailed for this case. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 during business hours.
 
Congratulations. I hope everyone will have it soon now as we see the change in the political atmosphere.
I am sure that you wont be able to keep yourself away from this forum as this is quite addictive.

Always a good news when someone who will clearly contribute so well to this country in the future is "selected" to be a part of its future! It is truly a win win situation. I am sure you will do well and are relieved by the certainty that this brings to your life.

I hope for the best for the rest of us who are equally qualified but in limbo due to a random process of place of birth.

Anyway the day belongs to you. We will miss your insightful posts here, even if they were a little caustic at times!

My plans are:

- I am taking IT certifications. I should get then done by December/Jan.
- I will spend $3,000+ in IT training from my own pocket (employer doesn't have budget for training lately). I should be taking the training in December.
- Hopefully find an employer who can sponsor my remaining masters program -and go from there.

The bad news from this greencard experience is that instead of taking easy and relax now that I am getting older, I will actually have to work harder. That's the price I paid for the GC.

By March fire resumes and hopefully move on when I complete about 6 months from GC approval. It is nice that the sucker GC got approved now, so that I will take vacation in December and one month will pass very quickly.

Congratulation!! You are one of my favorite names on this board, UN, saras76 as well.

Dream myself, hopefully by the end of next year.
I will take 6 weeks vacation then. Yahoo!!!!
 
good luck.......and good bye (even though i dont think u will totally stay away ..these forums are somewhat addictive....but u may not be able to contribute much to this retrogression thread because of the change in status......)
