"According to the BCIS statistics report dated 08/31/2003, the immigration benefits pending cases increased 31% between 2002 (4,002,465) and 2003 (5,257,972). The bad story does not end there. The rate of approval dropped 18%, while the rate of denial increased 12% during the same period. What the statistics mean is: More backlogs and more denials." (Source: Immigration-law.com)

Most of the denials might be related to non-employment based category. I don't see a reason why employment based cases get denied.

dont know why ??? LOSS OF JOBS !!!!!!

* processing time: gettin much longer:
* # of jobs available: becoming much fewer

got it ???

What does that have to do with denials? Denial's has to be substantiated with more than volitile economic statistics.

Moreover, denials can be for stricter security scrutiny, more applicants-more errors in applications etc.

Rejection being up doesnt mean that approvals went down in numbers...

Sunny, denials can be due to the fact that people have not been able to prove that they are still employed (if they lost their job and received an RFE for proof of employment). However, increase in denials cannot be tied to more applications (the number of initial applications have actually dropped by 1% during the same period). Nor can it be tied to "more errors in applications," because errors should trigger RFE.

Many reasons are attributed to rejections/denials,, Job losses and processing time delay has nothing to do with it.

I don't agree...your application will be rejected if you don't have a job at the time of approval.
