Montreal CP question - Canadian PR

hi all,

I've been in the US on an H1B since Sept 2001, and I also have Canadian permanent residence. I was wondering if I'd have any trouble going to Montreal for CP. I've read stories of people being harassed during the interview for using the Montreal consulate without actually living in Canada. Is this a real concern? Also, would I have any trouble getting a Canadian PCC because I don't currently live there?

thanks in advance!

scheruvu:

If you have a clean immigration and criminal history & no contagious medical history then why should there be issues.

The only issue about canadian pcc's is that it is currnetly taking about 90-120 days to get a canadian pcc. So apply for it as soon as possible if your I-140 is approved.

Needless to say there is another thread (right at the top of the previous page) that focusses on CP @ Canadian consulates. You may want to repost this question there!
