I want to know if the following information is ever submitted to USCIS during H1 -> US Citizen path. Full DOB of Father and mother of the US citizen (petitioner) is not known, only year is known. US citizen wants to file for his siblings and not sure if either Siblings names, their DOBs and parents' DOB would have been provided to USCIS when the petitoner was going through H1 -> GC - > US Citizenship journey.

The reason for asking this question is to make sure that there's no discrepancy in the names, DOB of siblings as you may know sometimes the names can be tricky and may not always match among various documents.

1. What if the month and day of birth for father and mother of US citizen is not known, should one enter 1/1 or maybe add a note on the paper form.
2. Are names and dates of birth of siblings ever submitted to USCIS when applying for H1 and subsequently for I-485 etc.

I would appreciate your feedback or thoughts on this. Thank you so much!

I can answer #2, there used to be a Form G-325A, Biographic Information that was required when submitting I-485 a while back. It asks for dates of birth for both parents.

There was never a requirement to submit parents' birth certificate. Is there a requirement to submit parents' birth certificate as part of the sponsorship process (I-130) all the way to siblings getting the visa (many many years down the road)?

I don't remember what dates I provided to parents' month and day, I do remember their years. I could do a FOIA but it may take long, I'm thinking just provide the year and leave the MM and DD as ??/??/YYYY.

Any thoughts? Thank you!
